Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Keith has a natural talent for the visual arts. Since memory serves him, he cannot recall too many times in his life without pencil or paper.

With no real formal training other than art classes throughout his schooling and a couple of partial post schooling correspondence training, there has been nothing other than his imagination and the world around him as he sees it for guidance in the visual arts field.

In 1975 he placed first place (award of merit) in the Calgary Stampede arts competition, for an abstract done with his fingers and wooden Popsicle sticks. Throughout the years he also created small comic art for local fanzines in Victoria, British Columbia, (where he now resides). Restaurant menus, logo designs and album covers for local bands in the area soon followed. In 1992 a small amount of interest was generated at the Comicon in San Diego, within the comic book artist community. But as he resists the confines of storylines and deadlines interest soon waned.

In 2003 he began correspondence through Art Instruction Schools and soon after had to forgo the extra training due to family issues at the time in 2004, but not before he earned a Blue Ribbon award for being one of the top students as well as placing 32nd out of 1500 in competition earning him a finalist award.

During this entire time never placing a brush to canvas, until February of 2009. Since then until this moment his artistry has taken on an entirely new light. Dark imagery and his insatiable interest in rock music and it’s larger than life characters have come to life on canvas, breathing new life into known images and dark corners.
